雖然 Galaxy S5 本身已經防水防塵，不過 Samsung 還是推出了更強悍的 Galaxy S5 Active。而經過了近六個月時間由美國獨家發售後，手機終於開始登陸歐洲及其他更多的地區。消息指，手機將會於十月在歐洲推出，售 629 歐元，分綠色及銀色推出。規格方面，手機與 Galaxy S5 規格一樣，同樣擁有 IP67 防水認證，不過就同時擁有 軍用級MIL-STD-810G 認證，能抗鹽，防塵，防潮，防雨，防震，太陽輻射，運輸和衝擊。
