無可否認，今天無論是科技版、港聞版、財經版，所有的重要新聞都只會是關於今天開賣的 iPhone 6 及 iPhone 6 Plus 各處的收機價。早前有來自中國移動員工的消息指 iPhone 6 及 iPhone 6 Plus 將會在 2015 年才會開售。不過當香港首天開賣後，便有假消息指中國已經取得有關認證，能於十月推出兩款手機。
事實上，iPhone 6 及 iPhone 6 Plus 的確在中國取得了兩項認證，分別為「中國強制性產品認證 3C」及通過「中國國家無線電法規」。不過這並不代表這樣手機能於中國推出，因為公司還需要為手機取得關鍵的入網認證才能正式在中國開售。而要取得這個認證絕對不會是短時間內可能完成。十月推出的消息，相信只是水貨商壓價的傳聞。
